Practice Group Marketing Manager — Full-service Law Firm

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Description: Our client is a full-service law firm in Chicago. They seek to add a Practice Group Marketing Manager to the firm to manage the marketing efforts for several of the Firm’s practice groups. This person will manage collateral and presentation materials, responses to Requests for Proposals, pitches, web presence, special events and public information as part of the Firm's marketing initiatives, reporting to the Director of Marketing & Business Development.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and develop customized marketing collateral for pitches, responses to Requests For Proposals, brochures, special communications projects, and presentation materials.
  • In concert with the Marketing team, develop content for both Internet and Intranet Web sites, including practice group descriptions, media mentions, and attorney biographies.
  • Plan and manage event logistics for both the Firm and individual attorneys, including complex guest lists, venue contracts, food and beverage arrangements, entertainment, audio visual needs, office equipment, co-sponsors, ground transportation, registration, gift items, etc.
  • Work with Marketing team members to develop and produce event materials including invitations, introductions, information packets, agenda, biographies, presentations, articles, analyses, evaluation forms, and name tags. 
  • Assist the Marketing team with the writing and editing of press releases, newsletters, seminar flyers, and sponsorship ads.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Firm’s contact management program.

 

Requirements: Candidates must be highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail and follow through.  Marketing experience in a professional services firm is mandatory. Excellent interpersonal skills with the professional demeanor and confidence to interact with clients, attorneys and vendors required. Other qualifications include:

  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills required.
  • Solid project management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Established track record in building and managing vendor relationships.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely completion.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of marketing and event management experience in a professional services firm.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends based on event schedules.
  • Working knowledge of InterAction and Adobe InDesign preferred

 

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
