The Assistant Director, Marketing, in collaboration with the Creative Director, will lead the marketing team in the production of all college marketing materials.

This position will serve as the primary “intake” for all internal requests, manage projects, oversee all external relations and faculty media relations, and in partnership with the Director of Marketing and Alumni Relations will provide strategic oversight for the college’s marketing communications. This is a management position that is responsible for managing staff and budgets.

Specific requirements

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree in marketing, communication or journalism preferred); 5-7 years of exp preferably in an academic environment; previous supervisory experience; demonstrated understanding of marketing, branding, and communication principles including media relations; strong project management skills; ability to prioritize; strong promotional and journalistic writing, copy editing, and proofing skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; thorough understanding of the creative services process; and excellent attention to detail.
